THESE ARE NOT YOUR PEOPLE

There will always be people who won't believe you. There will always be people who won't see what you see. There will always be people who won't listen - to reason, to passion, to logic, to ideas, to truth. There will always be people rooted in place. There will always be people too afraid to try, to risk, to imagine, to hope, to act, to trust. There will always be people content to move the same pieces around the same board. There will always be people who need a map. There will always be people who don't understand your art, whatever form it takes. There will always be people who only draw lines to divide and not connect. There will always be people who believe in boxes. There will always be people who suppress their restless hearts. There will always be people who have given up on wonder. There will always be people who think they are smarter. There will always be people who need you to be wrong so they can be right. There will always be people who make right harder. 

These are not your people. And you don't have to be one of them.
