ALL THAT MATTERS

In the end, all the things we think matter probably won't. However true and just and noble they may have been, all the reasons and justifications and arguments and grand ideas we used as steps up to the top of our high horses will fall away. In the end, all that will matter is whether or not we can still respect ourselves and whether or not we respected others. And one is not possible without the other.
